What is UICC?
Union Information Services Center (UISC) - Digital Bangladesh Terrace

 

UISC key: The flow of free flow is one of the prerequisites for empowering the people. It is possible to bring positive changes in the quality of their lives, especially through ensuring the flow of data among the disadvantaged people. In order to ensure the empowerment of the people with information and services at the doorstep of the grassroots level, the initiative has been taken to establish Union Information and Service Center (UISC) at the junior level in collaboration with the local government department and the access to information program of the Prime Minister's Office. The Union Information and Services Center is a digital Bangladesh-Vision 2021, which can be easily accessible to fast and easy access to grassroots people, through a sophisticated information center (telecentre).

 

UISC's entrepreneur / director: There are two (a man and a woman) trained / skilled / entrepreneur in each ITUs, who have a good understanding and proper knowledge about the use of information and communication technologies to find and provide information and services. In the 69 unions of Bhola district, already collecting desktop / laptop computers, scanners, web cam, modems, printers and other related equipment. For each union information service center, two educated youth / youth women are selected and they are being made as entrepreneurs with 10 (ten) days of intensive education at district level.

 

UISC Management: There will be a 7-9 member management committee for the UISC management. Union Parishad's chairman will be the head of the committee and will be the head of the committee. The term of this commission is 02 (two) years.

 

UISC's information and services list and pricing: Information and services will be available in the UISC format both offline and offline. Documentaries and services will be arranged in animation, video, audio and text - in these four formats.

 

Information on the Internet (online): There will be internet connectivity in the UISC through which any person in the union will be able to establish contacts with the whole world. It is possible to find any information available from local and foreign web sites as per the requirement.

Offline databar: There will be a huge database on the Internet outsourced. This (offline) database will have many useful information related services; Such as agriculture, health, education, law and human rights, employment, market, various government forms.

Commercial Services (1): UISC offers affordable commercial services; Such as sending e-mails, internet browsing, computer composing, printing, colored photos, scanning, multimedia projectors, etc.

 

Commercial Services (2): There will be computer training at UISCsolive price and a variety of skilled training systems. Skill training will be easy, affordable and use of local technology on different income generating initiatives; For example, manufacture of various materials, such as industrial equipment (such as candles), tailoring, electrical electrical repair, organic fertilizer production etc.

 

Counseling services: To ensure that the UISC will provide regular consultation services (such as agriculture, health, etc.) through government officials, the Union Parishad will be consulted. The consultation services will include soil test fertilizer and pesticide application, fish farming, health, land registration, legal advice etc.

 

Information and Service Price: All information of the offline database will be provided free of charge at the UISC. However, if any information and service of the offline is to be printed in the form of text, then it will have to pay the price fixed by the UIS. All the information and salaries of online-based information must be collected and paid. All commercial services will be collected and paid by the UISC. However, government-private workers consultation services are available free of charge.
